Hey, I'm Amanda!
I’m Amanda and I want to share a bit about myself with you. To be honest, I’m not really into fluffy introductions – I prefer to keep it real and raw. That’s just how I roll, and that energy is infused into every appointment I have with my clients. When you’re sitting at my table, it’s all about YOU. I create a safe space for you to be your true, authentic self, whatever that means for you.
When I was younger, I actually wanted to be a psychologist, but I quickly realized that I wasn’t one to tiptoe around red tape. That’s when I discovered my passion for nails – I realized that I could build genuine connections and help people in an authentic way that was beyond just the surface level.
But my passion for nails is more than just about making connections – it also feeds the engineering portion of my brain. Nails are a structure, and they need to be a strong structure. Over the years, I have spent countless hours perfecting my system and honing my craft. Through ongoing consistency and a commitment to continual improvement, I have become a master of my trade.
So, if you haven’t met me yet, I want you to know that when you come to see me, you can expect both a high-quality set of nails and a truly genuine experience.

More About Amanda
The energy I bring to the salon is a reflection of who I am in every aspect of my life. To stay grounded and balanced, I surround myself with earthy and green things. In fact, after hours, you might find me talking to the plants that infuse our space here at the Beauty Bar. I’m very attuned to energies and have a natural draw to an otherworldly way of thinking.
To keep myself in a clear and positive light, I spend time kayaking on the river and reconnecting with nature outside of the salon. My heart is filled with love for my children and my dog, who was truly destined to be a part of my life.
From a young age, I’ve always been driven to succeed – failure is worse than death. After having a home business while raising my children, I was convinced to work from this space in Blackfalds years ago when it was under different ownership and a different name. From the second I walked in, I knew this space would be mine.
I started in that space in 2015 and, by 2018, took it over as Black Diamond Studio. I worked solo until Sayge joined me in 2019. Since then, the salon has continually evolved, and Michelle Doupe, a talented hair stylist, has partnered up with me. Together, we renovated the space into the modern aesthetic you see today.
